“Blue Haven” is constantly breeding quality stud and commercial “Poll Dorset” sheep. Previous competition results provide evidence of this and of “Blue Haven’s” long standing reputation for excellence. For example; at the Rutherglen Lamb Expo. of 1992, “Blue Haven” lambs won all 3 classes on the Hoof and the 3 classess on the Hook when in competition with 48 other entries (Pens of 3 Lambs.) More recently at the 2007 Corowa Show a “Blue Haven” Group of 1 ram and 2 ewes - aged 6 months old, averaging 84kg. was awarded Champion Interbreed Group from 5 breeds of sheep. Another older ram was Champion Poll Dorset Ram as well as Champion Interbreed Sheep of the Show.

Recently we have been using two Yentrae rams by “Tattykeels Ripper”; possibly one of the most outstanding rams recorded; and a ram by “Derby Downs Miracle” who was Virbac Champion Ram of the year. A ram by “Gererden” 292-04 has sired excellent off spring - we have several in our breeding groups at present.
