History & Aim
BRUAN Poll Dorsets was founded in 1984 and is a performance recorded stud, leading the way in genetic selection and evaluation for the Australian prime lamb industry.
Over the past 15 years the stud has progressed to a stage where all animals are tested using a stringent combination of subjective and objective measurement.
Bruan Poll Dorsets aim is to breed stud stock with good length and width of loin coupled with superior muscling. Stud sires are selected on conformation, structural soundness and performance testing which enables us to offer the best genetic packages to our clients.
Our aim is to produce high performance genetics with high growth and positive muscle. We believe that to be productive and sustainable in today's farming environment, prime lamb producers must finish their lambs at the earliest age possible.
