Welcome to Englewood Park
“BREEDING RAMS FOR TOP PRIME LAMBS”As a Poll Dorset Stud Breeder and Prime Lamb Producer I am totally committed to the prime lamb industry. We are one of the largest studs in Australia and also join over 1300 1st x ewes to Poll Dorset rams. Our aim has always been to produce top rams and to prove their performance through our prime lambs. Sucker lambs off Englewood Park sold over the hooks have yielded in excess of 52% when weighed 3 hours off feed. As a CASMARK supplier we had contract shorn lambs in April that dressed 25.6kgs and yielded 53.5% measured by VIAscan with the top lamb yielding in excess of 57%. All our sale rams are sold with Stockscan performance figures. Stockscan is an alternative performance recording scheme which has adapted an overseas ultrasound appraisal technique which is far superior to any method being used in Australia. This will give you Growth, Fat, Eye Muscle Area and Width which promotes big long well muscled sheep. With visual appraisal and Stockscan rankings we aim to produce bigger, longer, meatier rams that will sire prime lambs to meet all market specifications . We have been actively exporting Stud Ewes and Rams to several countries including China, Fiji, India, New Zealand, Peru, Phillipines, Thailand. In the last 5 years Englwood Park has been the major exporter of Ewes and Rams to China. Englewood Park has also formed an alliance with the Japanese textiles company OSAKA NISHIKAWA to supply our Poll Dorset wool for the manufacture of futons and doonas. Our stud is always open for inspection and you are welcome to visit our property anytime.
